When Suzuki revived the Jimny nameplate in 2018, the automotive world paid attention. After a near two-decade run of the JB23, the all-new JB74 arrived not as an evolution, but as a statement, a purpose-built off-roader that refused to chase the crossover crowd. Ladder frame chassis, three-link rigid axles, and a part-time 4WD system with low range: the Jimny remained unapologetically itself, and the world loved it for it.

This 2019 example is presented in Superior White with a contrasting two-tone roof, one of the more striking configurations available on the JB74, lending it an adventurous, expedition-ready character that reads equally well on city streets or unpaved trails. The exterior has been thoughtfully built up with OEM appointments including the Brazilian snorkel, roof drip kit, and mudflaps, keeping modifications within the spirit of the factory.

The cabin retains its original Suzuki interior, clean and unmodified, with the welcome addition of heated seats and APIO pedals and cupholders for a touch of functional refinement. Audio duties are handled by a Focal sound system, discreet, but a clear step above the standard fit.

Underneath, the JB74 has been prepared for serious use. An Old Man Emu complete lift kit raises the stance and improves articulation, while an ARB Summit Bar and ARB Base Rack extend its capability and utility. OZ Cronos 16x5.5J ET23 wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich KO2 tyres round out the setup, with a Cusco front and rear strut bar tightening the overall chassis response. Power comes from the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, small, deliberate, and entirely fit for purpose.

The JB74 has already become one of the most coveted compact 4x4s of its generation, with supply still constrained and demand showing no sign of cooling. This particular example has been built with care and equipped for wherever the road ends. The next custodian inherits something genuinely ready, from the tarmac to the trail.
