1983 Porsche 944

Few cars carry a story quite like this one. What began as a barn find became a 2.5-year labour of restoration, a complete, ground-up recommissioning of one of Porsche's most underappreciated classics. The 1983 Porsche 944 arrived engineered with balance at its core, its transaxle layout delivering a near 50:50 weight distribution that defined a generation of attainable Porsche ownership.
This early 1983 example is finished in its original Guards Red, resprayed throughout the exterior, cabin, engine bay, and undercarriage. Approximately 80kg has been shed from the standard kerb weight, and the car has been thoroughly optimised for handling. The 18-inch German ETA Beta wheels were fully rebuilt with custom-measured lips and barrels, fitted with brand new Continentals. AC is refurbished and fully operational. Notably, it was featured on Larry Chen's channel during his coverage of Valhalla Garage, a signed nose piece accompanies the car.
The interior has been stripped and thoughtfully rebuilt. Fibreglass door cards and dash top, reupholstered Recaro SPG seats, a Nardi deep-dish steering wheel, and custom floor mats.
Mechanically, no stone was left unturned. The engine was fully resealed with new gaskets, water pump, timing belts, tensioners, engine mounts, radiator, and expansion tank. A 928 big brake kit with stainless steel hoses was fitted, the transmission received new carrier mounts and a short-shift kit, and suspension sees 100% new bushes, new anti-roll bar linkages, and adjustable coilovers.
This 944 is a finished car, documented, sorted, and ready. It comes with its original handbook, toolkit, and the Larry Chen-signed nose piece that tells its story. You could be its next custodian of Valhalla's creation.
